BLACKBERRY LILY, BELAMCANDA CHINENSIS

very attractive tall Lily

$ 4.30     out of stock     Back to homepage

One of the most attractive and benign lilies with their origin in Yunnan China.

With everyone breeding short plants, it's always great to have some tall forms around. In mid-June, the winter deciduous iris-like rosettes produce 4'+ tall spikes, topped with clusters of 2" tigridia-like flowers...orange , highlighted with small red flecks and three small white marks at the base of the flower. After flowering, the fruit capsules split open to look like clusters of blackberries.

Hardy: Zone 5-10
