Yellow Bells (also called Yellow Trumpet Flower, Yellow Elder, and Yellow Trumpetbush) is a very attractive small tree or shrub producing large heads of yellow trumpet flowers from early summer to late fall. The showy, bright yellow flowers are up to 2 inches across by 3 inches long.

Very easy to grow, Yellow Bells is an extremely heat-tolerant plant and highly pest resistant. Where it can be grown outside year round (zones 9-11), it is a shrub or small tree that reaches 15-20 feet in height but can easily be pruned to keep compact. These may also be grown in zones 7-8 but will die back to the ground and regrow from roots the following year. They also look wonderful grown in containers to accent entry and patio. In more northern zones, they make a nice plant that will stay manageable in a pot indoors.
