Quantity:    

A low - less than 3' bushy Protea with long, narrow leaves. It is extremely popular among florists. Black tips to the central white plumes provide a striking effect and contrast sharply with the bracts which are usually yellow green but vary through to rusty pink. This species flowers intermittently from autumn to the following spring. Must grow in well-drained, slightly acid, gravely soil in a sunny, airy position. Will benefit from a deep mulch of pine needles.
